Some personal favorites:

I had never seen a literati in person. This may have been my single favorite tree if I had to pick one.

Another pine with what I thought was just exceptional movement and a whimsical aura.

My favorite deciduous, a sweet gum.

And a super impressive ficus.

I was drawn to those two pines as well when I visited in the Spring!

From speaking with the guy working his internship there, I get the impression that the collection remains pretty consistent.

The trees get moved into different spots, but the trees seem to stay the same. There was a beautiful Chinese Quince forest that was in flower for my trip. The ponderosa was in the back by the workshop area.

A majority of the core display trees seem to remain the same, but they do have larger inventory than what is on display (they have additional space and trees out back out of the public view).

Also a number of trees are also moved around and displayed in different areas (along with many of the trees being moved to the Chinese/Penjing Pavilion for extra overwintering protection.
