Vitex Design Survey - Keep lower left branch?

I've got a nice, graceful, tapering trunk line in the works for this tree. The question is what to do about the branch on the lower left.

I know we're supposed to cherish big, low, branches, but this one is straight, ugly, and so thick that it's basically unbendable.

Would you keep it now as a sacrifice branch? Keep it for the design somehow? Chop it?

I would remove it. You don’t want sacrifice branches growing fat on trunks, because they’ll leave ugly bulges and scars forever.

Cool thanks. Im actually just trying to emulate what you do in your progressions, so how could I argue with advice from the man himself?
