I trimmed/pinched off all the flowers today. With all the rain we've been getting they looked like crap. Can I hard prune this now or is it too late in the season?

Yes, now is a good time to work on it.

Hard prune, repot.. all that.
What is your plan for it right now?

Thanks for the confirmation. I went thru John G's videos and few other sites which said pretty much the same thing so I pruned it back, still working on the skeleton frame for flowers, and cut the root ball down and potted in a semi deep bonsai pot in kanuma/pumice 50/50
