Water filter

Hello All,

I found this while looking into the pH and acid water requirements.

Has anyone tried this before?
I made a little test run with a filter and will take some pictures when I
put ideas, plans and meterial together.

That'll work, but this does the same thing and uses some of the same KDF material for 1/3 the price. I've been using them for 2 years with no issues. Although one did crack when it froze this winter.

What is the output gpm or pressure?

I have a splitter hooked up to my main line, coming out of that is a short 6 inch hose then the camco, then i have one of these http://www.dripworks.com/category/filters Home garden filter Y-type to catch any sediment that may come out of the camco as it's a loose filter medium. When you first run it you get dark water for about 30 seconds during the first use only. After that it goes to my hose. The lines a high pressure outside hose line and i haven't had any problems. It's made for outdoor RV use.

I find anything labeled for gardening or bonsai comes with a higher price. My bet would be the results would be very similar between the 2. I haven't had the water tested but pre-filter I got lots of mineral deposits on my pots. Teated with a ppm meter it drops from 60ppm to 3. This has solved that. I replace my filter every 4 months regardless of if the ppm hasn't gone up. When they rate things like this they assume you won't use it daily. I figure better to err on the safe side 20-50 bucks is nothing when you think of how much time you've put into your trees. I also have a Stealth RO that i no longer use as it wastes SO much water and is slow. That said the ppm that comes out of it is 0. No need to baby my trees that much, I'm just concerned with chlorine and this rv filter takes care of that. You can smell the chlorine in my water without it

Thanks for sharing, I have ordered 1 and will run some test samples
I am also adding a charcoal filter that I made with 2"pvc.
My water ain't that bad around 8pH but do see very small calcium
building., I think this can be a nice addition for improvements of water concerns.
