i am a newbie to bonsai and just purchased this tree. I wanted to know if this tree is Suseptable to any particular type of insects. I have a fuchen tee which I just treated for aphids and found after the fact that aphids are a common problem. I'm hoping that this tree doesn't have the same issue

Welcome to Crazy Miss Barkan!

It is possible your fukien will be the pest magnet.

It's always good to have one!

I found water jasmine, Wrightia species to be fairly disease free. I would treat all plants, bonsai and houseplants alike, I would treat all in the same room if one in that room came down with aphids or mealy bugs or mites. Reason is that the pest insect may hide in small numbers on a neighboring plant, providing new recruits to reinfect the fukien tea. Treat them all. Follow the instructions on the label. Repeat at interval recommended, spray one additional time after last pest was sighted.
