I’ve had this for a couple years. It’s been growing really well and I’ve been cutting it back and trying to keep it in a manageable size. One of local club members recommended it was ready to wire so I took his advice and gave it a shot. Please let me know what you think. I tried to keep it in a canopy style and kept the branches that didn’t seem out of proportion for width of their branches. I plan on cutting the flat cuts back with a concave cutter soon to try and heal theirs up better.

When you're doing the two branches with one piece of wire, it's best to make one wrap around the main branch/trunk between them. That way when you go to adjust one, the other doesn't move on you.

Really hard species to work with. The closest thing I've seen to workable bonsai for weeping willow (note: curly willow is far better-see my profile pic) is the 'yatsubusa' willow sold by Evergreen Gardenworks. https://www.evergreengardenworks.com/quercus.htm

This tree is only 2 years old and already has furrowing bark. I think something could be made of it, although I'm just letting it grow currently.
