I live on a 20m2 boat with my girlfriend and two dogs. This is certainly going to be a testing time. Luckily, I have a roof full of trees and the sun seems to be making more of an appearance, so swings and roundabouts eh?

Yes, it's about time. We're on a similar trajectory to Italy and China. Better it's shit now than fkin total carnage later.

Couldn’t agree more. Plenty more carnage to come unfortunately, but this will hopefully stem some of the tide somewhat. This is all just so unbelievably crazy. 2020 is going down in history.

Yea it is pretty idyllic TBH. We live on a nature reserve so aside from the regular dog walkers and bird watchers, people are pretty few and far between. I didn't get the big boat finished soon enough though, but that’s our prep for kids. No chance to afford a house round here so necessity made the dream come true!

Beautiful picture BTW. Where is that?

Its feeling like we're unpaid extras in a really crap sci fi movy. This is just the start of it. Now find I cant visit my aged parents, my girlfriend or my son !! I was supposed to be in hospital this week for a scan and moving house next week but looks as if that will have to be cancelled too... who knows how long this will go on for ?

The usefulness of the malaria drug that they're readying for general use to mitigate the effects of lung degeneration in Wuhan patients was discovered by Chinese physicians who noticed that Lupus patients tested negative for the virus. They were all on this drug. If this works the way it seems to, that is, taking away the killing effects of destroying the surface of the lungs and ability of patients to acquire oxygen, the pandemonium will be over in days. It will become just another treatable cold. Then we can begin the recriminations!

Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Shouldn't derail the thread or maybe we should??? LOL

Lockdown in Ohio as of midnight.
Happy thoughts of happy days below... that's pretty much social distancing I think? Blowing off the Cooties!

I hope you know something all those specialist don't...
I don't know anything that I haven't heard spoken about on the telly. The media is selling fear so people will stay glued for the commercials. When you get good news, you get up, stretch, shut off the TV and go about your life.

We go to the Lake of the Ozarks at least once a year. We don't have a boat, but still love it there.

Nice! I’ve never been on a power boat but I bet its pretty exhilarating. What’s speeds do you go? That looks like quite an event as well. I just hope all this madness clears up enough before hand.

Our boat is 10x2m living space. Everything there. Except this winter has been a royal pain in the arse. River levels been up and fast and so, bar one day where we were visiting my mum, the river has been unnavigable since October. Sewage tanks been full for 5 months and have to fill the water tank using containers. Luckily there’s a tap and toilet a five minute walk a way but still. Less of a pain for me, more of a pain for my girlfriend. I’m not sure we’re meant to be using the toilet but the lock keeper has given me a key cause we got no choice!

Just saw on the morning news, people laying on the hospital floors. London I think. Didn't know it was already to that point there. This is some bad stuff. I still have people showing up at my backyard motorcycle shop. So many are oblivious to what's going on... I'm putting up a sign today saying call or text only. GO HOME!

Get your girl one of these. She's a trooper from your description and you carry the tank on the 5 min walk every couple days. BTW your description sounds a little less fun than I had envisioned. Sailboat in the Caribbean was my goal.
What’s speeds do you go?
84mph that day. I do all my own work, being a retired firefighter on a modest pension, I have too. LOL
Motors are in my shop now getting freshened up.
