A few months ago I saw this Olive at a local nursery. It wasn't cheap but had a great trunk. I kept thinking about it so, when I got a 20% off coupon months later, I went back yesterday to pick it up. Low and behold, it was still there!

I probably should have done research BEFORE buying it, but I can find little on weeping olive bonsai. Pics below...for reference, the pot is 16" diameter

Has anyone worked with this variety? Will it back bud well?

TIA
Eric

Nice trunk. I would reduce the branches to where there are leaves and let it recover this season. You might also consider repotting in summer as it looks pretty pot bound.

Thanks. That's my intent! It's a rather large pot. Do I need to go through a couple of seasons/repottings to get it down to a small pot?

I still havent found much on this variety though. I know the 'little ollie' is the preferred variety due to the small leaves but I'm hopeful this will work out!
