The weather is getting just about right again but still a little cool.
This is the first year that I looked at my bench and saw trunks instead of sticks and trees instead of plants.
That made me happy. 😁IMG_7993.jpeg

I still have many project trees but I do see advancements being made which is nice!
I planted some maple leaf begonia cuttings today.

I posted the forest on the FB ficus group and they stated that the trunks are all one size and blocking each other which are major faults.
I mean I know these things but it does hurt to hear it.
I have removed 2 trunks.
I like the photo that Maria Kapra shared with me and I would love to try to follow this plan.
This tree does not have a #1 trunk, #2, and so on.
I think it is time to make some design moves.
The other photo here is from Wigerts.IMG_8442.jpegIMG_8441.jpeg

I thought I recognized those trees on FB! My favorites are the two on the left in this group photo. Cool stuff you are doing!

Left from Schley’s bonsai and middle was originally a Suthin tree. Right from Wigert’s.
All new pots in Spring of 2023.
Getting ready to bring them back inside soon.

I bought a Vance contest Mugo today. This one is a Pumilla but what I really want to do is make some cuttings from this one in my landscape.
I got it about 5 years ago from conifer kingdom.
It’s a Mugo “Elf”. Inspired by Vance to get this and another mini mugo in my landscape.
I love it but it’s grafted. Currently about 1ft x1ft in size.
The pumilla is buried pretty deep so I have no idea what’s under the soil.
