Hello everyone,

Can someone help me ID this discolouration on my Japanese maple?

I put a little bit of miracle grow shake and feed on the top of my soil - not sure if that’s contributing to the leaf tip burn.

It’s in 3 parts high quality potting soil, 2 parts turface and 2 parts perlite, in a training pot with plenty of drainage.

For the last 3 weeks it’s been kept in the sun from about 9am-1pm, which I thought might be too intense, so I moved it to a different corner where it’s getting ~2 hours of direct sunlight followed by afternoon shade.

I don’t want to lose her, please help!

PS, I just watered immediately before taking this soil picture.

Could be iron or magnesium deficiency. A broad-spectrum fertilizer with micronutrients should resolve.
