I received my early Christmas gift to myself. I can’t speak any higher of Kaneshin. Outstanding communication, excellent packaging, fast delivery, and, as is known, a top tier product. Many thanks to Mr. Masashi Nishimura. 6F7D1442-197E-48D8-9688-6CDE1B8C5E07.jpeg

Since economic forecasts are grimm and I dont know what will be available in the future, and the buying power of savings only goes downhill, I decided to buy a lot now

Satsukis, JMs, a few pots, biochar, books, tools, soil

And not done yet

Darn it, I should have listened to the Japanese! 🤣
If youre trying to get me to sell my satsuki collection, I'm afraid I cant ship to you
Lol, no worries. I have "some guys" in California for my Satsuki's. You have a great Thanksgiving, although that might not be a thing in Germany?

Just received my maple order from Esveld.
2 Seigen on the left, Deshojo on the middle and Katsura on the right, just missing some Arakawa now.
They are bigger than expected, very vigorous, so perfect for mother trees as the grafts are far from delicate.
Looking forward for their spring colors!

Anyone got good Black Friday deals? I saw normal size hard grade Akadama on bonsaiplaza for roughly 1 Liter = 1 Euro, which is the best deal Ive ever seen for that. Didnt buy any because I already have 4 bags though.

Amazon, they are carbide-tipped and cut through wood as well. definitely not a smooth cut, but I wouldn't want to use my ryoba on the roots.

Well, the wait is over. I finally own a penumbra pot and got to meet Roy. It was hard to pick out just one, all of Roy’s pots are amazing…. But this little pot was just screaming to me! I also had the pleasure of meeting Pitoon and Adair M, all are super nice guys.

While at the show I also got to stop in Bill Valavanis’s booth and pick up this sweet little Koto Hime. Sadly I didn’t get to meet Bill as he was doing a demonstration. Maybe next time Bill. I’m still happy to have one of his little maples. I see some cuttings and air layers in its future 😏

Went to home Depot looking for lights for holiday decorating. Saw this "white pine" for $26 and had to find a place in the cart for it. It's a nice little JBP or Scotts. Not sure.

Funny, I saw a good size "Christmas pine" at HD labeled pinus strobus - and it most certainly was not - but I'm not sure what it was.

I'll be going back once the discounts start to see if it's still there.
