Pseudocydonia young plants. Last year they suffered from the heat, and had a dificult year. So I got them for a very good price, considering these are fairly rare her.e
It's official: I'm a bonsai masochist. Another of my cotoneasters died last week (apparently they hate me), so I went browsing for something to fill the spot on my bench. What did I pick? No, not a cotoneaster. Something with an even worse reputation. Leptospermum scoparium. The trunk was absolutely gorgeous and it was only $11, so I said "Why not?". I'm laying odds it won't survive it's first root reduction. Maybe one of these I'll learn to stick with olives, elms and junipers. But apparently not today.
