I might purchase this tree, but am a little hesitant..It's been about 5 years since I've worked with jbp and don't want to shell out to much...So somebody put a price on this and I'll compare to the actual price and see if it comes close....
Io think that's been on eBay for awhile. Or at least one very close too it. It looks like a fun project but it felt a little expnsive to me. However the nebari seems quite thick. It is neat looking for sure.
With a proper wiring, I think it could be pretty spectacular. If I was determined to find a root-over-rock shohin pine, I would probably pay around $350 for it...
Dang, you guys are sharp...I think Im gonna get it, but Im torn between this and an arakawa maple with ridiculous taper
...Im going to go with the pine if the maple turns out to be anything but a layer, cutting, or extremely low graft....
I have been to the nursery and saw the lot when the shipment came.
It's over priced honestly and hate a photo shop item
But that's my opinion, most "bonsai" nursery here have crazy prices
Best to shop around look into those mom&pop nursery.
Example went to a very well known nursery and asked about a pine,
Simple pine may be was 8to10 ft before it was cut 3" trunk...price $450???
I found similar bp for $40 no joke. When people ask for high prices for raw
Material I just say thanks and move on, because am sure to find another.
Good luck and enjoy your hobby
