I’ll see some amazing tree in the media slide reel, and many times it’s by Sam.
Any clue?

I think his full name is Sam Lee, an older gentleman who was very active in the on line bonsai scene a decade or more ago... Lives in HI... haven't seen him post in years.

.....kauaibonsai was his handle over on IBC....last post was dated 2018, but did state, after a brief hiatus, he was back at it.......

Funny you posted this Eckhoffw, I've often wondered about him too, we were in Kauai a few years ago and he had already dropped off here so wasn't able to contact him.
