What is this??

Anyone care to try and identify these little shrubs? I am in Pecos Texas for work and found these in the field. I have only seen the small ones, but driving back to the hotel I think I spotted some bigger ones. I’ll look again tomorrow. I think they are indigenous to the area. Thanks fo looking.

Try looking up Creosote Bush, going off what i could find. That would be my guess.

Creosote would have a strong smell as well.
