Hi all, I got this little tree last early spring from an owner of a nursery. He told me this tree was from a cutting. And that his original tree had died...so we talked and talked and he sold it to me.

Over the past month...after reporting in spring, it grew like crazy and now it is three times its original size.

Anyone can tell me what kind dwarf azalea it is?

Thanks

JZ

Practically an impossible request, although Chinzan is a very common "dwarf" satsuki cultivar; pink blooms, and a good guess for this plant.

The owner of the nursery said the mother plant never flowered (he kepted the original plant for over 40 years.)

Are there azalea that don't flower?

Perhaps he pruned it too much. I am with the previous poster, the leaves look a lot like those of Chinzan, but is impossible to tell what it actually is without seeing the flowers.
