What would you do with this elm?

I acquired this ugly elm when I first started on the journey and I clearly didn't know what to look for in material.

So, skip forward a few years, it's been neglected in my garden just existing so thought I'd do something with it, besides chucking it. I think it's a Siberian elm, but could be wrong.

As you can see by the photos it's got a lot of issues. Terrible roots, reverse taper, one sided branches etc.
I just thought I'd throw the question out there for what others would do with material like this? Even if the answer would have been Chuck it!

In the end I didn't want to stick it in the ground due to lack of space and I've got a lot more material to work with so I decided to go with a raft. Maybe it will work out who knows! I enjoyed messing with it so it's all good.

Photos aren't the best, apologies for that.

I wouldn’t go with the raft. I think it has a lot of character, which will get better with time. The second picture minimizes the reverse taper in the meantime. Work
On carving the chop at the top. And maybe carve the lower wound too. I not sure that a hollow would work, or if the bulge could be reduced, but maybe working it a bit at a time could reduce the bulge.
I don’t think the bulge is a deal breaker though. A nice pot like Sorce is recommending could kick it up a notch.

I guess I could just leave it in the garden for a few more years.
Honestly though, I have so many other projects, I think I would lose interest and space is at a premium now, maybe I can give it away...
