Whats wrong with my auction juniper?

Bought this juniper at the Knoxville auction because noone else bid on it, I brought it home from the show and it started turning brownish orange on almost all of the tips.

It could be tip blight, it kind of looks like that and I would bet that it is.

Check for spider mites though.
Put a piece of clean white paper under the branches and shake the foliage
Look at the paper and see if there are tiny little things crawling around on it.
They will be very round and have 8 legs (might be hard to see).
If so you have spider mites

Looks more like a burn than spider mites. Could be sun or chemical. It will just have to grow through it.

well i gave it a haircut, took off all the tips that were brown or orange. Its sitting in full shade for a few days. Its a tree i picked up for 10 bucks at an auction
