After about a few weeks of around 30 F nights, this olive browned off and dessicated the leaves on the end of a branch.
Thinking to stimulate some recovery, I clipped those dessicated leaves off at the petiole last night.

You can see in the pix that this branch has gotten unruly before by the callus on the end of the clipped branch in the detail pic.
So I think deep within the heartwood a plot is underway to piss me off and frustrate me.

The detail pic shows that there is still SOME life heading outwards from the trunk.

But certainly not much.

The full pic shows the tree and I think it looks healthy.

Except for that one branch.

There are a few seasonal newbie branches around the problem one so I....think.... they ...might... turn into a ...sorta...replacement if the limb is truly a goner.

Any suggestions?

Mike, pull off all the leaves growing on the bottom of your branches. Keep it out of freezing weather. Water and fertilizer. It should grow like crazy in warm weather.

Don’t pinch. Let grow. Wire. Let grow some more. Remove wire. Cut back. Repeat.
