When planting ROR do you cut the tap root ?

When planting a tree over rock , do you have to cut the tap root etc...
or do you just plant the entire plant /tree

Yes. You want the tree to melt over the rock as much as possible. Radial roots make that easier and more aestheticly pleasing.

My Tamarind plants were very small and I had a number of them ( only thing was I forgot to cut the tap root ) anyway I think I'll leave it and let it settle in .
maybe I'll post some phots soon

Necessarily all roots going down over rock must cling to surface in appearance to have grown there. If too stiff for this cannot be used😞.

Maybe I'll re-plant this weekend and do the job correctly ( all roots are white in appearance at the moment )
