When to dig Nine Bark

Hi Bnutters.

I have a nine bark currently growing in the garden in FULL shade. And it grows well with huge distances between interdones. I am planning on giving it a sun tan. When would it be best to dig it up and re-plant it in a air pruning container. It is now dormant.

All advice very welcome.

I have moved them in late winter, after last frost, with no problems whatsoever.
