Where do you buy pond baskets or a pot of that sort?
I have found many but they are all small-medium. I did find a place that sold large 9x9x5 but it was $17 which I think is expensive for what it is.

Any help?
Thanks Kevin.

I get mine from the Home depot or Lowes in the pond care section at 2.49 each.

When you use pond baskets, do you line the sides and bottom so the soil doesn't come out?

You can use either pond baskets or colander's. Often I can find good colanders at the local dollar store.

My mix, made up of turface, lava, and blasting sand, does seem to fall out through the bottom/sides of pond baskets. The few pond baskets I have in use right now aren't going to get moved around much this summer:o.

Joedes3 if your soil is to small and will fall through the basket then yes you would line the inside of the basket. For instance I used all my left overs from sifting on my young cuttings that take root and all that would fall through so I line the inside with window screen.

Thanks for the home depot suggestion! I just stopped and got what they had.

I will have to check that pet place for bigger baskets. I love that place and love going there!! I need a couole big baskets for some pines.

I have a few colanders now and the dollar store is the place to get them for sure. But I needed something bigger.

Thanks everyone! Can always count on you for great answers.

Thanks Alex! I only bought 4 and I need more a few more. Bigger also so thanks for the link. When I get home tonight I will check out their site. 2 gallons sounds like what I need!

No problemo! The guys at that shop are awesome. The local shop is called GrowCo but the website is 4Hydroponics. Very knowledgeable guys, too, so feel free to email them with questions if you have any.

I don't. The ones I'm using have holes that are fine enough that particles the size of turface do not fall through.

If you have baskets with larger holes, a good idea is to get drywall tape (mesh tape) and line the sides with it. I use this stuff for everything now.
