Which Front? ...and other styling advice JBP.

It was discounted, I believe, because of the lower branches breaking somehow...which probably changes the direction this was going.

Between attempting to envision how this might be styled for the future (maybe tilting it to level out foliage?) and its front, and deciding if repotting is best in the summer, fall, or spring, I'm also looking into which color pot to use.

I really like this maroon glazed pot. I could play it safe and go for an unglazed pot....but why do we tend to see unglazed for pines? Is this some show rule, or more of a traditional guideline? I feel the red complements the bark on this one.

With mekiri (candle removing and new small candles), you can reduce the size of the needles, hopefully
I'm not sure when this was decandeled. But a few (2-4) were either left intentionally left to grow or overlooked. Though last year's needles are definitely long.
