Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on with these Japanese Maples? I noticed this white powdery substance on some of the leaves when I went out to water this morning. It's the first I've noticed it, and it's affecting three of my four JM's. All three were hard root pruned and repotted this February into Bark Fines/DE/Perlite/Scoria mix at (4:2:1:1), watered daily, growing like gangbusters.

Yeah, that is bad, looks like powdery mildew or some other fungus, spray that with an anti fungal spray asap and it should recover.

It seems like Powdery mildew to me too. Usually it's a problem in late Summer/Fall (hot, high humidity, poor ventilation). I'm surprised you got it so early. Use a sulfur-based fungicide. You can use it even as a prevention measure in February-March when the cold days are over.
