I guess this thread is to document and share my yard with others, as well as the trees I’ve dug from it.
This year brought the first spring I ever considered scouring every dark corner for material.
I’ve known about some scrub bushes I’ve had to lop down in order to mow/yard clean and such. However I never thought I would find such a descent mix of practice material.

I live on a city block in St. Paul, MN. with a small 800 sq. Foot house on an average city lot. Not big.
Apparently The folks that owned the house a couple owners back, liked plants,& gardens.
This was still apparent when we bought the house in 2010, We felt we needed to try to clean it up and keep it up!35B2229B-1073-408F-86DF-532A8B329D7F.jpegFBD9B001-4316-4D88-BCB8-2AABA6068E4C.jpegC498F1B5-A58A-4BF5-8C37-D8E2F48741EB.jpeg099FE91A-563B-4AAA-9347-741BF223C878.jpegF554F94A-06F2-4DCA-A233-1222AA14FF1A.jpegFF796C90-AF7B-4E11-80ED-147092B45E3C.jpeg

Part 2 - the plants I’ve extracted.
2 buckthorn. My alley is owned by these bastards. Decided to dig these 2 up.

Nice! I just did a similar yardadori scour and got some buckthorns. I'm in south Minneapolis and they're everywhere. Looks like you're using something similar to me for pond pot substrate? I picked up some mini pine bark mulch and some Frog Farms soil conditioner and mixed it 50-50. Is that pumice that you added?
