The masonry bins at home depot should work as well. At around $5 the price is right too. They hold up pretty good for gold prospecting, tossing boulders pry bars and shovels in, so they should last a few years as a grow container.

It may be better to just burn this thing and forget it ever existed, it seems demonic at this point. All this tree will bring you is ruin 😂👍🏼🌲

I picked up a pair of concave cutters and carved out one of the branches that I think was causing an issue.

I anchored a few to the pan to get main branches lowered for pad development next year.

I just cut it back, I let it grow to about 4 feet tall. Just long enough for some branches to thicken, but not too long to let this fast grower get away from me.

Here's an update on this monstrosity. I lost the main trunk over last winter. I did a late slip pot from the trainer pot to a ceramic pot. I was feeling lucky I guess! Anyway, it's still kicking. I let it grow out and do its own thing this year to get some health back in the roots. Did very little pruning, just enough to keep it from getting out of control, and to keep the basic shape the same. (Note: I only have it inside right now because Denver is currently getting snow 😂)
