I’ve recently moved, which has swallowed up my entire bonsai time, but I did do a little work on a small willow-leaf this morning. Thought I would share a short progression.

As purchased. Summer of 2018.

My first work on it. (Summer 2018) I repotted and cut back hard. In true ficus fashion, it didn’t skip a beat.

In the summer of 2019, I repotted into a Sam Miller round. (No pictures). Here’s a photo from about 6 weeks ago. I had packed my photo stuff, so the background is not great.

Decided to do a quick defoliation. Again, this was about 6 weeks ago.

As of today.

Still work to do, including a slight angle change at the next repot, but it’s coming along! Critiques are always welcome.

@Gdy2000 does yours lose it's leaves in the winter? Mine does every year, even in a southern exposure with grow lights. It was REALLY late waking up this year, I had about given up on it.

I put it under a grow light...so it does ok. Then thrives once it gets back outside.

Although, now that I’m in TN, I’m not sure what I’ll do. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

TN, good for you, I'm sure it's nicer there than St.Louis/Metro east.
