Today I posted a progression on this Willow oak, Quercus phellos, to my website. It's quite a specimen. Regrowing/redeveloping the lowest right branch, ramification and leaf reduction should really kick in next year. Five years in training.

Thanks, Leo! I'm carving it out in stages and I have an idea of where I want to get eventually. Oak wood is tough, fortunately, so I haven't had to take any drastic measures yet to preserve it. I do have my PC Petrifier handy if and when the times comes.I like how you treated the scars from the "chops", the hollows look pretty good.
