Willow oak mame bonsai possible?

Okay so, i'm obsessed with willow oaks and now particularly mame bonsai. Just wondering if this tree is suitable for the style with appropriate root pruning?

The Oaks(not willow) round me have Buds the size of Mame bonsai.

Maybe, but not easy.

A few things to think about:

I've found that oaks tend to prefer deep containers that allow more root mass.

Willow oak leaves reduce, but I doubt you're going to get TINY leaves in mame scale.

Oaks are notable for their stout, substantial trunks. An oak bonsai without such a trunk really doesn't have a lot of interest. To get a substantial trunk for a mame sized oak, you should probably start out with a more developed trunk and work it down to mame size. It's doable, I think, but you're going to have to find the right trunk to start out with and take a few years working the root mass down.

This site i amazingggg. You all are so great about replying and giving good advice. I've got about five seedlings and a couple saplings i'm working on so its just for fun. I'm more excited about my acer rurum mame, they're adorable and the leaves are allready scaled down perfectly, i'll upload some pics to show you all
