Boxwoods are slow growers from what I know, so for my tree it should be fine, but I will keep an eye on it for sure. What a cool looking tree! As a beginner, I’m just curious about your comment regarding leaving the wire on for that length of time. Won’t it cut into the tree if on for that long?

Why did the tree grow straight, then begin to become swept by the wind? (The nebari is actually going against the wind)
If you're going to use rocks in your composition, I would suggest using them to tell your story. In this case, the rock could be on the opposite side, showing how the tree grew (and grows) straight when behind the rock, but once above the rock, the wind blows.
Windswept is super hard to pull off, good luck.
Great idea.If you're going to use rocks in your composition, I would suggest using them to tell your story
Certainly ... no rush. Windswept is my favorite style but it takes a lot of work to make and keep it realistic.Yes , when it will be possible,
here is my starter I got a few months ago. I was jogging and fell in love with the jasmine like flowers and little red fruit. Sorry penumbra but it saying I'm quoting you. Where could I get some good info on cascade and windswept styles.
I like this design a lot. The line of the landscape from the top left to the bottom right accentuates the turn of the trunk but also creates a balance with leaves. Really neat!Hi ,
A large stone on the left , it protects the start of the trunk which has grown straight , a little less vegetation because the shape of the tree implies very difficult conditions .
Something little more dramatic ...
