Perhaps he could justify the placement logically, but visually it’s uncomfortable to see the cypress so close to the table surface. And if it must be like that maybe it shouldn’t be the primary tree in the display?

Yes it is very nice! Not a whole lot I see of red pines. This one was originally collected as a mountain seedling in Japan.

Juan suggested when it gets repotted to change its planting angle to make the curve more dramatic.

When you decandle it next summer, decandle a week to 10 days later than you would decandle a JBP.
