reading about weather fronts sweeping east from alaska, hard freezes, winterizing trees. weather on kauai today. high about 82 F, clear sky with some clouds, light south wind, no precipitation. sharing a few trees in the yard.

be safe. stay warm.
best wishes, sam

I missed this post...how do you go about protecting all your material? Once again...I enjoy having a peak in your backyard. Thanks for sharing!

Protect them from the sun and temperate weather ? I would assume any tropical in Hawaii would thrive unless it was being watered with gasoline...

Ahhh I reread his post. I was assuming it was some how going to effect his backyard. Now I get it...he doesn't need to! He was just thinking of us who do. Thought it odd he would get a freeze...and need to winterize!

Lovely as always Sam! My SIL was down yesterday...she vacationed in Hawaii for her honeymoon. I was telling her...if I ever got that way I surely would want to get lost in your backyard. She was puzzled at first...then I showed her some of your trees. And she was like...Awww eye candy for a bonsai lover...or anyone else for that matter!

Now...the two colors of bracts on this one...did you do grafting?

best wishes, sam

Now that is interesting...I didn't know they came with multi bract colors that were so drastic in looks on one tree!
