If you want uninteresting, rainbow curves on branches, yeah, it will work...Tying a weight on the end of the branch will work just as well.

I have used paper clips to flatten pads. But it didn't work well.

…. These are pro wiring tips. Skip the lube and take good notes!,,, then practice a real lot on many trees!
