I recently picked up a few wisteria (hoping their Chinese wisteria, and from everything I can tell it looks like they are). They had recently been pruned back before I purchased so I’m still waiting to see then filled in a bit more. So I’m just about 100% positive they’re two separate trees and have been planning on treating them as such, with the larger singular trumped wisteria I’m planning on a semi cascade and want to add some funky vine like movement to it. The one thing is the three branches/subtrunks coming out at the same point. What would you do with it? Interested to see any replies

Whatever you do think twice about chopping big branches. I have one that had been chopped back by the owner before he let me dig it and they seem to take forever to callus over. BTW to tell Chinese from Japaneese wait for the tendrils to start to twine next summer. They curl clockwise if Japanese and counter-clockwise if Chinese.
