My first workshop with a renown Bonsai artist. This Shimpaku is today's tree. Excited to set my foundation with his watchful eye and guidance. Thank you Barry for the tree also.

Should be fun, don't forget to pay attention to what is happening with the other trees in the room, you can learn a lot from that too. He's a fun and good teacher.

Here is a quick update. Wiring is slow and steady. His method is exactly what I needed to learn at this point on my Bonsai journey. I am rather slow in comparison to many in the study group. I am learning the concepts which are not difficult but easy to forget and mess up. Photos are of a sketch Mauro had drawn, and this is the tree about 1 hr into the workshop.

Off to start day two. Mauro is 100% worth the investment, wish I would have more time with his guidance.

Pepperoni Bonsai!
