Happy World Bonsai Day!


This year will be a different one, but I’d love to hear how people are celebrating! Not too creative, but I’ll be celebrating by checking and watering my trees and enjoying some of the National Bonsai Foundation World Bonsai Day content.

Didn't know about this. Celebrated by taking some pics of a couple of my babies.

I celebrated by spending all but a few minutes away from those spoiled brats and wannabes in my back yard. Incessant whiners! Gimme this. Gimme that. Not even a goddamn smile for me.

I didn't realize it was World Bonsai Day, but I strategically placed my two newest additions so my husband wouldn't notice them. I also showed him a picture of a bonsai bench I want him to build me. He made a face, so I said "that's Ok, I'll just buy one". I bet he starts building tomorrow.

Thanks! The previous pot was waaaaaaay too big. (Although it was from our friend @Stickroot, that was pretty cool). I think looks better now for sure.

Hiked 4+miles admiring natural trees and nice weather, fertilized Bonsai, trimmed 2 dead branches off Ponderosa Yamadori and a couple shading branches off sacrifice of Vine maple tree crowding Limber pine.
