That mesh only to guide the nebari direction. once the nebari grow into the desire size, it will be cut back again around the trunk base roughly 10-15mm from the base. with that, i can have nebari(with this, i can have another 2smaller root seen at the end of that nebari "if lucky", to make the tree look stronger) only appear at the top part of the soil and regrow the feeder root (rootballs).Am curious about the holes in the material used. What make you think the roots will not grow down?
