Wrightia religiosa variegata (and thoughts on variegated bonsai in general)

Hello everyone. I was browsing online for tips on growing wrightia and I stumbled upon a rather impressive variegated form of Wrightia religiosa from Top Tropicals.

Of course I instantly wondered whether this would make a good bonsai. It seems like just the new growth is white. Methinks it could make a very pretty effect of a snowy tree in the summer.

I rarely see variegated bonsai, especially ones with pure white leaves, and I am curious what you guys think about the potential of this plant and variegated bonsai in general.

I would have snapped it up. Beautiful plant. I personally would own it as a botanical specimen and not a bonsai. I am not a fan of variegated plants as bonsai unless the variegation is very subtle. Having said that, I have absolutely no problem with others making that choice, it's just not for me.
