I must admit.. I got a stack of books this week, and the techniques is still sealed! Now reading "Succesfull Bonsai Shaping" by Peter Adams.
Any translation is a step back from the original, I find. But with Naka books, I take it. The drawings are 80% of the value for me anyway

Mine is a later edition as it says “Bonsai Techniques I” rather than just “Bonsai Techniques”.
All the original “Bonsai Techniques” were signed.

I emailed them about a month ago, its a bad link and they sold that one copy a long time ago.

Yeah, something to do with it being delivered to my office instead of home and my work having a deal with a clearence agent. Really strange situation where it had cleared customs. They got it in their hold and imposed this huge tariff on there. I told them to fogetabouttit and send it back to where it came from. Got a bit of a stink at work too. Lesson learned.
