Hello. Looking for a large rectangular glazed container for one of my Japanese maples:

Color: Cream or sky blue (depending I may consider other colors)
Size: Aprox. 16" wide and no more than 2.5" deep.
Make: Preferably Japanese

I may also consider an oval depending of quality and design of pot.

Thank you!! :)

how long did it take you guys to start getting into pots?
I am still at the point where I would never spend 900 bucks on a pot.

You gave us the size and tree, BUT what is your budget ---- how much are you willing to pay?

That is not to large - I would suggest Charles Iker http://www.ikerbonsaipots.com/ . We have done business with him in the past and he fires them enough that our/your Winters will not mess them up. He is very reasonable and makes what you want if not in stock. He usually fires a few and lets you choose as well. Very good person to work with. ;)

Thanks Grimmy. Yes I have a pot from him and is very nice. I was under the impression that he only made small pots. I will inquire.

In my opinion it is absolutely unnecessary to spend that kind of money to make a tree look great. Unless you have either lots of money or are a hardcore collector of fine and rare ceramics, a tree does not need such pot. Many fine choices to be had for much less.
