hi guys, i need your help.
Please allow me to indroduce myself, i'm a small ugly oak with a splitted heart ehm... i mean trunk. I live in Florence (italy)in a field with many olives. I'm quiet happy here but this lady says that i could be happier in a pot at her home. She says that I have a great potential. Is it true? Should i trust her?
Thank you.oak.jpgIMG_3905.jpgIMG_3905.jpg

I'd pass that one by. Not really all that much potential vs the work to get it out alive. That's just me, though. Others will feel differently.

I would agree you're likely to just spend a lot of time uncovering disappointment.
Seems the hidden trunk isn't barked, likely reverse taper, and is probably just the sole Taproot.

If you can let it grow and layer it off at the soil line, that might be worth it.

I thought oaks didn't layer very well?
