Hello guys ! I noticed some yellow leaves in my escambrón tree and willow leaf ficus. They’re falling all over. I suspect Texas brutal afternoon sun. Hitting the 100’s last weeks. I water my escambrón tree daily. Twice a day if need it. Any thoughts ?

What kind of soil are they in? If it's mostly inorganic you may need to water more. Here in Dallas I'm watering three times a day with only afternoon sun and I haven't had problems

Inorganic of course. Moss on top to keep moisture in summer.

Doesn't sound heat or Water related.....

Seeing yellowing in landscape...blackspot fungus is starting in area.

No photos makes it hard to really pin point.

It used to be denser and greener. The moss layer it’s turning black at this point. Should I remove it or leave it like that ?

It looks completely normal. I can see only the oldest leaves yellowing. But that's from my limited general knowledge, not species related.

I would consider remove and replace the moss, and move the escambron & ficus to a position out of direct sun, especially afternoon sun. Until temperatures drop back to the low 90's. Excessive heat is likely the problem.
Heat is what I suspect is causing the yellow leaves. Last year summer it wasn’t this brutal. Or at least I didn’t feel it like this one though.
