Hello nuts, found this in a pile of semi-discarded plants at the back of a nursery for about 6 dollars.
What would you do with it? I'm thinking shohin, with one main trunk as it actually has some usable taper for a quince, maybe slanted/cascade... Thoughts? 20160426_232652.jpg 20160426_232704.jpg 20160426_233530.jpg

It is popular now to go for the single-trunk quince. I've done that with some success, but if you're in possession of your first quince, I'd go for a clump, because you already have it. I'd pot it up in a deeper than average pot, and then let it grow for a year. See what you have then.

I would do everything possible to keep it formally upright.

And increase or at least not lose that taper..

Pretty Nice...
I want it!

Hello fredtruck, thanks for the advice. I spent 2 hours yesterday looking at it trying to decide what i want to get out of it but i still can't decide... i think i'm going to sleep on it for awhile.
@sorce: if you can drop by Eastern Europe on your way to work sometime next week, i can happily procure some more :)). PS. take a winter coat, it's freaking freezing around here.
