Too far/small to tell. Could be yew, could be bottlebrush, or juniper, or something else.

If you are using an I-Phone (4?), be sure and hold the phone sideways with the lens at the top when taking the picture. Then the orientation comes out right.

Looks like a taxus cuspidata alright. And a decent trunk to boot. Good luck on the dig.

I was able to bow up the larger image labeled one of these, and it looks a lot like Sabina Juniper though it could be Taxus, the growth does not look like a Yew.
