Yoi Stone is a geo-polymer material that we have been working on for nearly 3 years, specially formulated for making a better year round bonsai pot. It is not clay, nor is it concrete. It is heavier than clay but lighter then cement. Heavy enough to keep the wind from blowing a tree off the bench, and is a better thermal mass than both clay and cement which slows temperature changes making it so your roots do not experience such sudden drastic temperature changes. This pot was one of our prototypes from this past winter.
