My favorite is number 1

Thanks for the feedback cmeg1.

That's a new glaze that I have been experimenting with and that was it's first test on a bonsai pot.

I'm glad you found the finish to your liking.

Regards,
Paul

Here's another for your consideration.

Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks,
Paul

Here are a few pots that came out of the last two firings.

Any thoughts on the finishes used on this set?

All these pots are round.

Paul

Very much like 2, 5, and 3...

2 EVERYTHING about it...have been admiring and looking at nanban-style pots lately, really like the refined, yet cracked rim of this one; 5 for the texture; and 3 because I dig namako blue pots.

Good stuff!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the positive feedback on the pots.

I can see that you have a keen eye for details.

The term "namako" is not familiar to me. I would like to see an example of this glaze if you have one. The particular blue glaze you commented on is a traditional, Chinese glaze called Blue Chun.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Cheers,
Paul

Namako - Striped Blue

This is a very interesting glaze Brian, thank you for posting the link.

Yes, I can see the similarities in the two glazes.

Cheers,
Paul

Sure, but I'm really curious to learn if you have a pot with the look of #2 at 12"x2.25" that is interested in relocating to Birmingham...:D

Here are photos of a few pots from a recent firing.

I would appreciate any feedback on the finishes.

Thanks,
Paul

I like the finish in the first pot, it's very natural looking. The second finish is a little too bland for my taste. The third finish is also quite nice. You make some really nice pots pjkatich!

306-037 is the winner! Love that color and rusty/clay background shows through

I agree with ketoi, the first one is fantastic, though I also really love the third one...the crackling/stippling glaze is great. Both really are great pjkatich!

Like them all! 306 037 11 almost looks like a salt glaze but then you'll need a separate kiln for that?
