Zelkova - Japanese gray elm

My little zelkova finally dropped its last leaves to show its structure, I'm loving what I see from this tree I bought in August for £30.

Anyone here have a similar tree I can have a look at.

Nice tree, this is my zelkova which is about same size as yours I think.
will get a decent cut back in spring.

That's looking great that tree, how much are you cutting back ?

I will decide that in spring but maybe cut back the main structure branches about halfway.
i could have done it this year but I made a ground layer the year before and wanted to make sure it had enough roots first. it wasnt necessary to wait though and probably lost a year with that but oh well.

Nice mate, I have no idea what my roots look like as it's still in it's original plant pot so I'll check it out when I repot in spring.
