I figured let's see how much water that moss holds.20190827_095405.jpg

So I took less than half of it, which was already scissored down and squeezed a lot.

About 1/3cup.
Musta held more than a cup all bushed out.

Back out in full sun.

Sweet trees, I like blue rugs in general, still haven't managed to kill one. I did have one that I kept 90% of the roots and put it into a pot slightly smaller than the nursery pot and it dropped a bunch of foliage.

I like that slab tree in the vertical literati style, but having it horizontal makes a lot of sense too.

I might have to get me a magic carpet ride one of these days.
Do you remove the berries?
My JWP got its 1st cone that I can remember this Summer, forgot to nip it off.

Do you remove the berries?

I purposefully mindlessly remove them every now and then to see if I can tell where I took them off later when I sit down with the tree.

To see if the area becomes an eyesore.

Haven't noted anything of significance, but I am still a couple years away from organizing tiny details like that, so I haven't been looking hard.

They seem to grow quick and abundantly during both growing times.

I'll probly remove them in the end, since they will be pumpkins in an apple tree as far as scale goes for most of these little trees.

However, I do fancy the thought of a literati with a bunch of berries. I think it could be interesting.

I remove all the berries on mine, don't notice any scarring or dead foliage or anything. I left them on one section of one of my trees and it seemed slightly weaker, but it's hard to tell.

ow long in your care?

Potted last year after the Solstice, I may have bought it that spring or the year before. I think it's noted in the back log.

Looking good. How you keeping the moss so green and full.

I'm having a hard time figuring if this is a question or a statement! Lol!

I actually went on a vinegar brushing trunk mission recently, mostly the boxwood.

Moss thrives in fall here.
