Olives have become feral pest plants down here. We can dig trees up from roadsides and farmland (with owner's permission)
Here are some of the olives I have collected from my local area.

I dug this one when I took club members out for a dig around 8 years ago.

finger for scale and closer look at the dead wood.

I found some pictures of that club olive dig - 2015.
I scouted the area and found a quiet roadside that was wall to wall olives. Most were way too big to dig but there was also plenty of smaller trees and some with really great potential. We made contact with the local shire and obtained permission to help them with 'weed control'

All the trees in the background are also olives but too big for us.

Older, wiser members offering unwanted assistance as a couple of younger members attempt to dig a slightly larger one.

Success!
At last report this tree was still alive and well.

That's a very nice olive.
Same thing happens on our club's olive dig, the new members always have more enthusiasm than sensešŸ˜…

The Sam Doecke, Aussie Bondsai Bloke YouTube channel discusses and works on some really big old collected olives if you are interested.

Nice trees u got there. Olives are what got me into Bonsai believe they are way underrated and underutilized trees.
