I will post pictures here of the trees I've owned as I run across them, for anyone interested.

I really like the Ponderosa - that's a nice one.

Here's one I bought from Don and after i cleaned it up a little. A plug for my buddy Don,about two thirds of my bonsai collection came from Don Blackmond, one of the good guys. After further work, I raised the tree a little and the nebari filled the pot from one end to the other.

I appreciate the pictures, it gives me something to aim for.
(At least I can dream!)

I regret not seeing this RMJ styled, if any of you buy this tree from Don, I would love to see it styled, it has great potential for a small RMJ.

Here are three taking it easy in the shade after a cooling mist on a hot summer's day.

I love Kotobuki's, this one is mine, easy to keep the needles short, I had three. I bought this one from Don then sold it back to him.

Nice trees are easy to find, all you need is a spare bedroom like this.

What is a kotobuki and where would one find one?

A Kotobuki is a JBP that has natural needles 3/4- 1-1/2 " long, very easy to maintain. Don Blackmond usually has a good selection for sale. My three Kotobuki's.

All of this seems to be in the past tense. Are you not doing bonsai anymore?

I sold all of them to Don Blackmond.

Sometimes yes and other times no. This time of year I don't miss taking them in and out of my shade house, the large ones were heavy. The shade cloth on my shade house saved my butt on this occasion.
